The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and post graduate levels of study. 

 Applicants for this year should already be accepted for their programme of study.

The scholarship will cover training for a maximum of 5 years of study. If your   programme ends before the 5 years, the scholarship will end at the end of your programme. If your period of study is over 5 years you will only be covered for 5 years.

This scholarship is exclusively available for long-term academic programs. Short-term courses are not eligible for coverage under this scholarship.

Scholarships will only be awarded to applicants with a GPA of 2.75 and above. Scholarship holders will have to maintain a minimum average of 2.75 annually in order to remain eligible for further support for each year

All funds will be disbursed directly to the Institution and will cover tuition and fees only.

 Up to $1 JMD Million per year per recipient for a maximum of five years

Applicants will need to upload 2 recommendations from:

Faculty

Supervisors/employer
‍
Character Reference (eg. Senior Civil Servant SEG 1 and above , Resident Magistrate , JP, Minister of Religion, Superintendent of Police)

The duration of the bond is dependent on the value of the award which may range from between two to five years.

The scholarship is applicable to undergraduate and postgraduate health related programmes by accredited tertiary institutions

The income and expenditure statement, a statement with your current income and the expenses covered by that income example cost of study, transportation etc.

A one-year statement is adequate (Jan - Dec 20xx).  If you are working, it would be your income and expenditure. If you are a student, it is not mandatory.

The Scholarship Awards Panel will determine this. The expectation, though, is that you are either currently in the programme or have been accepted to start at a particular time. The application portal closes on July 31, 2024, and awardees will be notified during the first week of September 2024.
